The Korea Foundation distributes Korea-related materials, published in Korea and foreign countries, to libraries and relevant organizations abroad to help foreign readers gain access to knowledge and information about Korea. For this, the Korea Foundation oversees a Reference Materials Distribution Program. Every year, the Foundation provides a carefully selected list of reference materials, which are available for distribution to program recipients, upon request. Libraries may also request for materials that are not included on the list by submitting bibliographic information.
The available materials include such Korea-related areas as Korean-language textbooks, linguistics, literature, history, religion, philosophy, anthropology, sociology, economics, politics, international relations, art history, music, and performing arts. Media forms include books and video content in Korean, English, and other foreign languages. Currently, the Korea Foundation distributes program materials to some 450 organizations in 70 countries worldwide.
